The ISPD Eastern Mediterranean Geostrategic Outlook Series (EMGOS) provides an in-depth analysis on the most prominent challenges and prospects in the Eastern Mediterranean region for the year ahead. Hosting contributions from some of the most eminent international experts in the field, the 2023 Outlook provides a holistic approach to the region focusing on the regional trends and challenges, as well as a more focused analysis on the countries comprising the region.
The focus areas in the Eastern Mediterranean include:
- regional economic and trade relations
- regional tensions and opportunities
- immigration
- demographic trends
- climate challenges
The country-specific part of the series provides the countries’ profile and the general 2023 trends for each country. This section includes an analysis of expected noteworthy events that are likely to have an impact on the country and the region, as well as the potential bilateral and multilateral collaborations and the internal and external risks and threats.
The Geostrategic Outlook focusing exclusively on the Eastern Mediterranean region, it aims to become a useful tool for individuals, corporations, NGOs, and governmental agencies interested in the region. It is useful not only because it provides an overview of the most important issues that are likely to shape the regional relations and the domestic developments of the countries under consideration, but also because it highlights potential risks, threats, and collaborations opportunities, by examining the conditions under which different outcomes are likely to emerge.
