Parliamentary elections were held in São Tomé and Príncipe on 25 September.

Electoral results
Ten parties in total, together with one coalition, participated in the election.

Independent Democratic Action 36,549 votes, 46.81%, 30 seats
MLSTP – Social Democratic Party 25,531 votes, 32.70%, 18 seats
Basta Movement (supported by PCD-GR) 6,874 votes 8.80%, 2 seats
MCI – Socialist Party — PUN 5,120 votes 6.56%, 5 seats
MDFM/UL 1,601 votes, 2.05%, 0 seats
Union of Democrats for Citizenship and Development 731 votes 0.94%, 0 seats
Independent Citizens for the Development of São Tomé 472 votes 0.60% 0 seats
United Movement for Development 389 votes 0.50% 0 seats
New Party 352 votes 0.45% 0 seats
MSD – Green Party of São Tomé and Príncipe 271 votes, 0.35%, 0 seats
Party of All Santomeans 195 votes, 0.25%, 0 seats
