Information on Elections
On April 17, 2024, legislative elections were held in the Solomon Islands to elect 50 members of the National Parliament. The results are as follows:

OUR Party: 15 seats, 83,279 votes, 24.07%
Democratic Party: 11 seats, 66,808 votes, 19.31%
United Party: 6 seats, 46,662 votes, 13.49%
Kadere Party: 1 seat, 16,906 votes, 4.89%
SIPRA: 1 seat, 15,735 votes, 4.55%
People: 3 seats, 11,045 votes, 3.19%
Umi for Change: 1 seat, 10,388 votes, 3.00%
Democratic Alliance: 1 seat, 5,515 votes, 1.59%
Independents: 11 seats, 75,713 votes, 21.88%
About the electoral system
The 50 elected members of the National Parliament are elected in single-member constituencies using the first-past-the-post system. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and reside in the constituency they contest. Voting rights are granted to Solomon Islands citizens over the age of 18. Related Articles:
