Bio

Kriton Dionysiou practices law specializing in civil and commercial disputes while also participating in arbitration proceedings. He teaches at the Law School of the University of Nicosia and has worked as a specialist scientist in the Law Department of the University of Cyprus. He completed his law studies in Nottingham in the United Kingdom and obtained a master's degree in European Law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Subsequently, he obtained a legal master's degree from the University of Law in the United Kingdom and a doctoral degree in international law and international arbitration from the University of Manchester, where he has also taught.

His doctoral thesis, titled "CETA's Investment Chapter - A Rule of Law Perspective," has been published by Springer. He is a founding member of the Institute of Studies for Politics and Democracy and serves as Vice President of the International and European Law Committee of the Pancyprian Bar Association. He is certified as a trainer in human rights issues by the Council of Europe and has served on the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Branch of the International Law Association. He has received specialized training in arbitration from the Permanent Court of Arbitration in Hague.
