Information on Elections



General elections were held in Liberia on 10 October 2023 to elect the President, House of Representatives and half the Senate. Due to both major candidates for the presidency did not receiving a majority in the first round, a runoff will be held on 7 November 2023:

About the electoral system


The President is elected using the two-round system, whilst the 73 members of the House of Representatives are elected by first-past-the-post voting in single-member constituencies.
