On December 18, 2023, provincial elections were held in Iraq. The results will be announced on Sunday, December 24.
About the electoral system
After the elections in Iraq in 2013, the next electoral procedures were postponed indefinitely. In March 2023 the parliament approved a resolution to hold elections on December 23.
