Bio

Georgios V. Tsiappas holds a bachelor's degree in Law with Politics. He is currently finishing his master's degree in Geopolitics from Charles University in Prague, with research interests spanning soft power, Russian foreign policy, and ethnopolitics. Regionally, he is particularly interested in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, and the Caucasus. He is preparing to embark on a Ph.D. in Politics and International Relations at the University of Glasgow, starting in September 2023. Over the past few years, Georgios has been actively involved in serving the Cypriot student community in the UK, holding various positions. In addition, he served as an elected board member of the Union of Cypriot Students in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, Georgios completed a 3-month placement at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus as a stagiaire, where he gained valuable experience working in the department of Schengen, Consular affairs and Crisis management. He conducted extensive research on immigration policy-related issues and provided support to diplomats and ambassadors.
