About the electoral system

The presidential election is won by the candidate who manages to collect more than 50% of the votes. If no candidate collects the said percentage of votes, a second round follows between the two candidates who collected the highest number of valid votes in the first round. The term of office of the president is six years and there is a limit of two terms.
