General Information:
On October 19, 2025, presidential “elections” were held in the occupied territories of the Republic of Cyprus, for the election of the Turkish Cypriot leader.
The “elections” were considered particularly crucial, as they represented a choice between two different political directions for the future of the Turkish Cypriots and the Cyprus issue:
• The outgoing Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar.
• The leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), Tufan Erhürman.
“Election” Results:
Tufan Erhürman: 62.8% of the votes
Ersin Tatar: 35.8% of the votes
Voter turnout reached 64.9%

Nicosia: 62.8% of the votes
Famagusta: 35.8% of the votes
Kyrenia: 35.8% of the votes
Morphou: 35.8% of the votes
Trikomo: 35.8% of the votes
