Election Information


General Information:
The parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic took place on October 3–4, 2025, to elect all 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies. Turnout reached 68.95%, the highest percentage since 1998. Andrej Babiš's ANO movement came first without achieving an absolute majority, while the governing SPOLU coalition took second place. For the first time, postal voting was permitted for Czechs abroad.

Election Results:
ANO (Andrej Babiš): 34.5%, 80 seats
SPOLU (Petr Fiala – coalition of ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09): 23.4%, 52 seats
STAN (Mayors & Independents, Vít Rakušan): 11.2%, 22 seats
Pirates (Zdeněk Hřib): 9.0%, 18 seats
SPD – Freedom & Direct Democracy (Tomio Okamura): 7.8%, 15 seats
Motorists for Themselves / AUTO (Filip Turek): 6.8%, 13 seats

Electoral System
The 200 members are elected through proportional representation with open lists in 14 electoral districts (the 13 regions and Prague). Seat allocation is done using the remainder method: using Imperiali in the first phase and Hagenbach-Bischoff in the second. A national threshold of 5% applies for entry into the Chamber. Citizens aged 18 and over have the right to vote.
