General Information:
The local elections in Georgia were held on October 4, 2025, for the election of local administrative bodies in municipalities and regions. Turnout was recorded at 40.93% of registered voters. The elections were conducted in a context of intense political crisis, with allegations of opposition suppression and boycotts by several parties from the process.

Georgian Dream (GD): 81.74%,
Strong Georgia: 6.73%
For Georgia: 3.68%
Girchi: 2.91%
Conservatives for Georgia: 2.61%
Alliance of Patriots: 0.81%
In the capital Tbilisi, GD prevailed with approximately 70% of the vote, while the Strong Georgia and For Georgia parties followed with much smaller percentages.
Electoral System
Local elections in Georgia combine proportional and majoritarian procedures. For municipal administration, mayors and municipal councils (Sakrebulo) are elected. In Tbilisi, some seats are elected through single-member (majoritarian) districts and others through proportional lists. The electoral threshold for entry into the municipal council is set at 4% (according to the 2017 election law). The term of local bodies lasts four years (as in previous elections). All citizens over 18 years of age registered in the electoral rolls have the right to vote.
