Pavlos Koktsidis

Bio

Dr. Pavlos I. Koktsidis - Lecturer Adj. and Principal Researcher (BA in Politics and International Relations, University of Lancaster; MA in Comparative Ethnic Conflict and PhD in Security and Conflict Analysis, Queen’s University of Belfast). Lectures on Foreign Policy, International Relations and Conflict Studies at the Department of Social and Political Sciences in the University of Cyprus. He is the principal researcher at the university awarded researcher programme ‘LowGeo: Rearranging the Security Puzzle in the Eastern Mediterranean’ and acted as lead researcher and project administrator for the EU funded EastMed programme (2016-2019). His research interests focus on ethnic conflict analysis and conflict regulation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans. He has published his work in numerous academic outlets, including in several international peer-reviewed journals (Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, Journal of Ethnopolitics, Eastern European Quarterly, Dynamics of Asymmetric Conflict, Civil Wars, Mediterranean Quarterly, Journal of Peace and Conflict Studies, Perspectives on Federalism) and in several book chapters (Routledge, Springer) and policy reports. He currently works on his latest monograph on Ethnic Federalism in Cyprus which is due to be published with Bloomsbury/I.B. Tauris.
